Welcome @GUDBlog

Welcome to GUDBlog, a digital space dedicated to the genealogy of urban design—a place for exploring the many trajectories through which urban form has emerged, transformed, and continues to evolve. The blog stems from the work of our GUDesign network, launched in 2019 by Heleni Porfyriou, which I am coordinating since 2022. Its aim is both simple and ambitious: to create an informal environment in which to share reflections, ideas, research insights, and observations on urban design, both in a historical and contemporary perspective.

This space seeks to become an open forum where anyone may contribute with their viewpoints: accounts of places visited, analyses of urban transformations, personal recollections tied to changing spaces, or theoretical considerations on the roots and legacies of urban design. Whether brief notes, more extensive contributions, or images, each submission will enrich our shared conversation.

Please consider me as a moderator and editor of this collective flow of ideas. If you have proposals, topics you wish to explore, or materials you would like to share, feel free to contact me at marichela.sepe@gmail.com, leave a comment on the posts, or contribute with a short piece directly. This blog grows through dialogue, and your voice is an essential part of its genealogy.
